APRIL 2009

I trust you are all doing well. I am glad to report that my mother has moved to Atlanta with my sister which is about 7 miles from Sharon and me. She is doing well under the circumstances. We are delighted that she will be close to three of her children...we plan on giving her much attention and encouragement. Thanks for praying for us.

Jim Sheffield and I have had some great partnership development meetings in the last few days. Jim was in Richmond, VA, last week meeting with Bob Sjogren and the staff of Unveiling Glory ministries. He is working with them on scheduling several GF Leadership Seminars. We believe this partnership will be fruitful for both ministries. Jim and I also had a very productive meeting with the President, John Mark Eager, of Mailbox Club Ministries of Valdosta, Ga. Likewise we believe this will be a beneficial partner for us both.

I haven't "coached" a church in several years, but last week was the GIC and the culmination of a years work with Burnt Hickory Baptist Church about 10 miles from my house. Mike Stephens, the pastor, was blessed and overjoyed at the new direction of their church. We do not have the results of the Faith Commitment or the Life Commitments, but we believe this church will make a significant impact for Christ in the coming years using the Global Focus system.

Keith Haywood, one of our instructors and coaches reports on two GIC's recently, one at First Baptist Church of Thomaston, GA, and Dayspring Church in Augusta, GA. A First Baptist Church of Thomaston leader said, "Our first ever GIC was an absolutely incredible time when God reached down His hand from heaven and touched the life and heartbeat of this great church. We saw His passion, mercy and grace in so many different areas. The people of our church gave over $156,000 to the Faith Commitment Offering which will be used to position us to actively engage in mission work here in Thomaston and around the world. We had approx. 150 of our people make a Life Commitment, 12 of which were for full time service. PTL!"

Dayspring Church saw a Faith Commitment of $46,000, more than 50% above their goal. The altar was full on Sunday nite as almost 50 made Life Commitments.

THIS IS WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO.

A week from tomorrow Jimmy and I leave to begin Global Focus South AFrica. We are home about 4 days and leave again for two weeks in Nigeria to begin Global Focus Nigeria. Pleae pray for safety in travel, wisdom in taking care of our bodies and power of the HS in teaching, training and preaching.

Begin to pray now for my fall international schedule. It looks like we will begin GF in six or seven Asian countries September thru November.

God is good in spite of the economy. Let's keep pressing on for His glory. God bless.

In Christ for the world,
