JANUARY 2009

All,

I just finished speaking to about 700 students, faculty and staff for two days at a Global Missions Conference at Word of Life in Schroon Lake, NY. What an anointed time we had. I didn't think an old geezer like me could connect with teens, but God was good and the Lord evidently touched their hearts with my messages. I wish I could have stayed for the commitment service this evening. I anticipate scores of them committing their lives to global missions. WOL are strong partners with GF and our partnership will only get stronger in the days ahead. Their president designate, Don Lough, has really taken to Global Focus and he and I are developing a very deep friendship. They minister in 62 countries and they are going to be great partners domestically and internationally. I will be back at WOL at their Florida campus near Tampa next Fri. -Sunday for another Global Missions Conference.

I preached this morning at 9:15 then immediately walked out the door to drive to Albany to catch a 12:30 flight to Detroit, Amsterdam and then Zurich, Switzerland. Pray for me as I meet with the Global Focus leaders of five European countries. We will pray, strategize and dialogue how to expand, broaden and deepen our ministry in Europe. These are great and godly people and they are committed to our ministry. I will leave there on Thursday, arrive in Atlanta Thursday nite and leave again Friday at noon for WOL Florida.

The next week I will be in three cities in NY meeting with pastors, board meetings of Davis College where I'll also meet with the President and Deans where we'll work to integrate our GF educational course into their curriculum. I am also serving as a consultant to their missions department to revamp that department. Davis College will also host a Global Focus Leadership SEminar this fall or in the spring of 2010. Dino Pedrone, the President, has become one of my closest friends and is a huge GF promoter, fan and supporter. He will be a great friend and instrument of God to help us as we expand our ministry in the Northeast. Oh, and I'll also get to see Landon, Cristy and my grandbababies for a few hours in between...and I do mean a few hours.

As soon as I return from New York, I leave for Johannesburg, South AFrica, to meet with the key leaders of WENSA and other key denominational, mission agency leaders, and key local church pastors to form the GF leadership team for South AFrica. They are eager for us to get back there in late spring or early summer to start training them to conduct GF in their country. I am thrilled with our expanded partnership with Johnny's Timothy/Barnabas ministry and as we go to South AFrica we go as partner ministries to serve the pastors and churches of South Africa. South Africa will in many respects be a template for our international ministry in the future.

My prayer is that in the next few years God will enable us to establish GF in every country in the world. You are critical and vital to all that He is doing and will do in the futute.

Please pray for Jimmy as he focuses his attention on our NA ministry. We intend to grow, expand and deepen our ministry in America as well and Jimmy needs our prayers as he focuses his attention here at home.

I love and appreciate every one of you. Thank you for all you do for me, Him and Global Focus. In spite of challenging days in the economy, world situations, He is still on the throne and still wants to use us together at GF to impact the world for Christ. Pray for me. I pray for all of you and am deeply grateful for every one of you. God bless.

In Christ for the world,
