MARCH 2009
All,
An e-mail is attached below from the Executive Pastor at Lavon Drive BC in Dallas...this happens all the time..PTL!
I have had great meetings in Orlando and Tallahassee the last couple of weeks in GIC's....what a joy to see the fruit of our labors. Jimmy has been joined by some of our GF associates in conducting GFSeminars in several churches in February with outstanding results...PTL! I have been having and will have this week key meetings with key leaders regarding the expansion of GF domestically and internationally. Please pray for Jimmy and I as we present GF continually.
My dad has critical surgery on Thursday am. This is an experimental surgery that can give him more time or hasten his homegoing. Please pray for us as we go with mom and dad for this ctitical time.
Additionally, I have meetings Wed. evening and Thursday evening when I return from Chattanooga with David Nelson, President of Crossing Cultures Int. who will be our point person for GF in several Asian countries. This is a critical strategy meeting.
From the 22nd thru the 31st I will be in New York, PA, NJ and Wash. DC. I will be coordinating the Missions Week at Davis College. I will preach and Jimmy will be teaching The Personalization Process to over 250 students. Pray for a fruitful time. We will also be meeting with the Ex. Dir. of the Sou. Baptists of New York, NJ, Conn. and key staff and pastors to work on a partnership between Davis College, Southern Baptists and GF to mobilize the Baptist churches of that area and to partner to plant churches in that very needy area. Pray for wisdom and guidance.
We have many opportunities, I have not listed them all, but we need your prayers and partnership. Especially pray for our FINANCIAL NEEDS at this time. The economic situation has hit us hard as it has so many, but we must not retreat....we must move forward....souls are in the balance.
I love you all. I pray for all of you often. Pray for us. God bless.
In Christ for the world,

Larry,
We finished our second GIC on Sunday Feb. 22nd. We had another successful event. Doug Ripley was the kick off speaker on Wednesday evening and Ron Bishop on Sunday. Our folks really responded again with their involvement. All the events were well attended and successful. Our special offering goal this year was 47,000. The offering taken on Sunday exceeded 67,000!! Praise the Lord!!
I am sending to you some of our 2009 Prayer Journals that you might use as samples in your conferences.
Last year our giving to missions increased $125,000 over the previous year. We are also involved in the Miathili project in India with EPIC. I went to India back in August.
Have a good day and God bless your ministry.
John
